I have used Road Rebel for several years in my role as Tour and Stage Manager for the Chamber Orchestra of Europe, and have no hesitation in recommending them in the highest way possible. The Chamber Orchestra of Europe works for approximately 100 days a year across Europe and the rest of the world, bringing together the highest level of musicians, conductors and soloists for outstanding performances.
The thirdparty costs associated with transporting and housing these musicians from city to city and country to country are very high and the corresponding administration is very complex and time consuming. I use Road Rebel to negotiate on my behalf with hotels across Europe (and further afield). This not only saves me the time of getting quotes from multiple hotels in multiple cities but it also generally results in a much cheaper nightly cost than I could access myself on the open market. I assume this is a combination of a large market share, expertise and some form of witchcraft. In short, arts organisations such as mine are generally short of time and money; Road Rebel give me more of both. What’s not to like?
They are a very friendly team and I am the first to acknowledge I can have some very difficult and time-consuming requests ranging from early check ins, connecting doors, accompanying families, large scale changes or cancellations and so on. They handle it all for me from big to small. I particularly like that I can set my parameters for different cities very easily – budgets, hotels to avoid, areas that are good, check in times. They’re fast to respond, good to get along with and as I might have mentioned save me time and money. Hotel quality is very important to my musicians, and understandably so when they spend so much time on the road away from home. My job is very busy, and I’m lucky to have a company I can trust to help with this important part.
